Amy Mader
My grandparents began in the bridal business in 1945 in Wisconsin and created the largest bridal salon in southwestern Wisconsin, which was in existence for 50 years. The focus of their business was to ensure that brides would have their dream wedding. I began working at the bridal shop at the age of 12 years old cleaning and organizing the store and six years later I was managing the shop. Three generations worked at the bridal shop and we all were working towards the goal of making each and every wedding unique for the bride and groom. Being that I would be relocating to Austin, Texas, we sold our bridal store two months before my own wedding in 1995. I have been raised in the bridal industry and realized that I did not want to abandon it therefore, when I moved to Austin, I decided that I would continue our legacy. I spent an extensive amount of time learning the Austin Bridal market and in May 1997, Platinum Weddings & Events was created to serve the bridal couples of the Austin Area.

Platinum Weddings & Events focuses on three important aspects of your wedding day. First and foremost, the wedding ceremony is the key to this special day. This is the focus of the engaged couple and reflects your relationship, love and commitment to each other. Without the ceremony, there would not be a reason for a reception. Secondly, your guests are witnessing the beginning of this new adventure you are embarking upon and they must enjoy themselves. Finally, your wedding and reception should be a collage of the two of you. It should reflect your beliefs, wants and desires. Because all couples and guests are different, the combination of these three aspects allows us to create a unique wedding. We take the time to find out your expectations and portray them through your wedding.
